State legislator Leland Yee’s ludicrous campaign to criminalize the sale of violent videogames ultimately cost Californians $1.8 million as the state opted to defend the law all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court, which made the obvious ruling that free speech is free speech and fuck you, California. I followed this story from the very start, was thrilled by the Supreme Court’s decision, and can now only point and laugh at Yee, Governer Schwarzenegger, and Governor Brown for making fools of themselves.
