WarpCon in Cork. It was held at the university there. The school has its own pub, and in fact the convention was sponsored by Murphy's Brewery. It turned out that most school events, down to the likes of the Chess Club, were sponsored by either Murphy's or Guinness. Every night during the convention, most of the games would wrap up and a couple hundred people would pile into this second-story pub and drink until late in the night. It was marvelously crowded and friendly. When you didn't have anything else to do during the convention, you'd just pop into the pub for a pint--including for breakfast.
