My first weekend in Ireland was WarpCon in Cork. A little over two weeks later, after traveling all over hill and dale, I returned to Cork the night before my departure for Seattle to attend a WarpCon staff party at the aforementioned house of Cathriona Tobin and some of her erstwhile associates. The place was packed with drinking, smoking Irish gamers, several of whom were frequently snogging--slang for making out. The laughing gentleman to the left is Gareth Hanrahan, games coordinator for WarpCon and evidently the bright spark who thought they should fly me over for the convention.
